Marco Serrato es una de las cabezas pensantes de Orthodox, banda de la que es bajista y vocalista. También forma parte de importantes bandas como los actuales Jacob junto a David Cordero (Úrsula) y Hidden Forces Trio (editados por el legendario sello Bruce’s Fingers).
En esta ocasión sus inquietudes y constantes investigaciones musicales le han llevado a realizar su primera grabación en solitario. “Taaru” se compone de doce temas de improvisación libre para contrabajo, donde recoge la influencia de Henry Grimes, Mats Gustafsson, Simon H. Fell o Keiji Haino.
Una grabación en la que música contemporánea e improvisación libre se dan la mano exprimiendo al máximo las posibilidades expresivas del contrabajo. Una cinta no apta para oídos acomodados.

Marco Serrato is one of Orthodox’s beating hearts and also it’s bass player and singer. He is also part of the most recent and important bands like Jacob that features David Cordero (Úrsula) and Hidden Forces Trio (edited by the legendary label Bruce’s Fingers). In this occasion Marco Serrato’s latest unsettlements and constant search within music made him release his first solo album. “Taaru” is a twelve songs album of free improvisation for and with counter bass with Henry Grimes, Mats Gustafsson, Simon H. Fell o Keiji Haino influences. This is one album that contemporary music and free improve tie themselves down and experience the fully and most expressive possibilities for the double bass. This is a tape that does not play well with others of short sight.
